Reinventing Customer Experience: Predictions from the future.

The new era of customer-centricity in insurance is going far beyond marketing and online self-service. Today, a digital strategy must permeate the entire insurer from the front to middle to back-office. For many insurers, these strategies are focused on the traditional touchpoints of quoting, payments and claims. But customer expectations, shaped through interactions in other industries, are placing pressure on this model. Policyholders and agents have high expectations of technology and very little patience.  How can an insurer differentiate themselves?  And how can they do this quickly while balancing all the other initiatives on their plate?

This session will explore the trends driving carriers to invest in customer focused digital strategies, and will describe a new model for identifying the capabilities needed and will identify the emerging technologies needed to support a truly customer centric approach.

Carlyn Karnahan of Celent will offer her perspective.

This workshop is based on Celent's research on trends in the use of technology in the insurance sector, more specifically in those that impact the design and creation of new products or services.

We are facing new paradigms in IT, such as the use of platforms, microservices, APIs, the cloud, artificial intelligence; all directed at a new type of client, who expects innovative answers to old problems. Through Celent's research and the application of techniques such as Design Thinking and Behavioral Economics, participants will learn the implications of these changes and the considerations needed to design new products or services taking into account the customer experience (Customer Journey). Attendees aquire the latest knowledge about trends and will collaborate creatively with each other in teams throughout the session.

Juan Mazzini will facilitate this workshop.
